Mazda Withdraw RX8 Motability Offer

July 19th, 2007

No sooner had Mazda announce that they were adding the RX8 192 on Motability with a low deposit, they went and withdrew it.

Well at least the non leather version that is. We can only assume that pressure from its dealer network played a part and from feedback we have recieved, the original announcement didn’t go down to well.

The news means you can no longer get the Mazda RX8 with a £495 advanced payment on Motability Contract Hire. Instead Mazda are sticking to their other offering of a 192 with Leather for £1,198. Although still a good deal, it does pale in comparison.

Instead, Mazda have offered dealerships generous additional bonuses on the leather 192 & 231PS variants to help move surplus stock, with some dealers offering over £3000 off the list price. The move is just a tempoary measure to rebalance stock levels and customers wishing to take advantage would be advised to get a move on before Mazda decide to change their minds again.

Mazda Offer RX8 192 On Hire Scheme

July 10th, 2007

If your in receipt of Motability higher rate, then get down to your local Mazda dealer quickly.

PZ RearBetween July & Sept, the Mazda RX8 will be available on Contract Hire. A move that is a first for the Japanese car maker and one which is unlikely to be repeated again.

The reasoning is fairly simple, they have a surplus of RX8 192 PS in standard and leather trim and the best way to move these quickly is to offer a low deposit and put them on the Mobility scheme.

The alternative would be to reduce the price point, but that just distorts the used car market and will effect the RX8’s future residual value’s as well as upset many of its customers. Discounting isn’t an area that Mazda like to encourage, especially where their Icon’s are concerned.

So if your a War Pensioner there’s no deposit and for DLA holders £495 Advance Payment will get you 192 bhp of pure Rotary heaven.

Used Mazda RX8 PZ

October 13th, 2006

Although we don’t post a lot of news here, we always feel that we cover the important bits and let everybody else just ramble on. However, we do from time to time get emails from readers asking about second hand RX8’s.

Although we are an RX8 enthusiasts blog and not a dealer, we can’t really help with these requests and recommend searching the net through the search engines like everybody else.

Although used Mazda RX8’s are quite popular and easy to find on the net, used PZ’s are not. So we couldn’t help but notice this used RX8 PZ for sale on a dealerships website. With only 349 miles on the clock and a £2500 saving against the £25995 new price tag, seems definately worth a look.

Glad we could help!!
